Truck Service - A note from the owner

Dave Bloom

I have been the owner of Pine Aire Truck Service for over 30 years. There is not a day that goes by without me analyzing our processes and brainstorming ways to do things better. I started out as a truck technician and by the age of 25, I was trusted to manage a large shop. Thinking that I knew everything, I refinanced everything I owned and purchased my own shop. Our first shop was in a dilapidated building on a dirt road! A disaster!

After a few years, I came to the realization that I didn’t know everything about being a business owner and went through some really tough financial times. But I hung in there and never gave up. Through on-going education, extreme hard work and support of my staff, family and friends, I gradually grew the business into the state of the art shop that we are today.

Through thick and thin, two things have always remained the same; the care and concern we have had for our customers and employees and the absolute loyalty that our customers and employees have had for this company! I cannot begin to thank all of the people who have made it possible to be the shop we are today. I promise to continue to provide our customers with “Service Beyond Expectation” and our employees with a workplace that they can proudly feel a part of. Thank you!

Service beyond expectation: We care about vehicle dependability, longevity and safety. It shows not only in the quality of our work but the decade long relationships we have cultivated with our customers.

Truck Service - Dave Bloom staff photo

Like many destined truck technicians, Dave spent most of his childhood intrigued with taking things apart and attempting to put them back together. This led to tinkering with his parent’s cars and then his own. By the age of twenty-five, he was trusted to manage a large truck repair shop. Then in 1986, Dave opened Pine Aire Truck Service in a rundown building down a dirt road.

Although his beginnings were humble, Dave dedicated himself to ongoing education and an unrelenting work ethic. These characteristics, coupled with employing some of the brightest and talented staff in the industry, have enabled Pine Aire to grow into a nationally recognized state of the art truck shop.

Dave says… “We constantly strive to provide our customers with more than what is expected from a good truck repair shop, and our employees with a place that they can proudly call their own.”

Dave also recognizes he would not be where he is today without the love and support of his wife, Cindy, and two daughters, Janae and Haley. When he is not thinking of ways to better serve his customers, you can find him coaching high school lacrosse and enjoying his boat.

Truck Service - David Aguilar staff photo
ASE Certified Technician

From early on in life, it was clear that David was destined for a career in the automotive repair industry. At thirteen years old, he would change the oil in family cars with the help of his father. His would also gain knowledge in the field by accompanying his mechanic cousin on auto repair jobs.

What started out as an overall interest in automotive repair has turned into a career with a specific focus in diesel repair. David has come a long way since changing the oil with his father, and has proven to be a hardworking and valuable member of the Pine Aire team.

When not at work, David enjoys training his two dogs, Duke and Diesel. His other hobbies include fishing and spending time at the beach.

David says… “I like the constant learning and challenges that each vehicle can bring. At the age of 20, I got my first Diesel tech job where I was an apprentice and learned the basics of Diesel repair. I worked at another shop where I learned motor repair, suspension and transmissions. After that I started at Pine Aire where I continue to learn and grow. What sets this facility apart from others is the level of professionalism and camaraderie amongst the staff.”

Henry Garcia Cruz
Truck Technician

Early on, Henry showed interest in the automotive field when he started working with his cousin on project cars. He also attended car shows and saw how different people expressed their uniqueness through their cars.

Henry took that same passion and translated it into a career at Pine Aire where he works on commercial trucks. With the help of his co-workers, Henry has continued to develop and master his craft. He is a crucial part of the Pine Aire team, which he describes as “feeling more like family than co-workers.”

On his free time, Henry enjoys staying active by working out and playing soccer. With all the hard work he puts in, Henry has a pretty stunning appetite that is confirmed from his status as the reigning Pine Aire Chicken Wing Eating Contest winner - an event that benefited local underprivileged children.

Pablo Headshot
Pablo Espinoza
Truck Technician

Like many mechanics, Pablo started learning about the automotive field early in life. At only 9 years old, he would hand his dad tools as he worked on cars. The next monumental event happened when he helped his uncle and cousin build a race car from scratch. These early experiences inspired Pablo to be a technician knowing that if a vehicle breaks down, that he can fix it.

Pablo is a family man that has a young daughter with his longtime girlfriend. He credits them for inspiring him to be a better person. That is also why Pablo is drawn to the family like atmosphere at Pine Aire. Outside of work, Pablo enjoys traveling with his family and watching movies.

Brenda Gonzalez
Service Writer

I crossed paths with Pine Aire Truck back in 2010 when they were assigned to my new uniform delivery route. From day one; there was a connection. I saw the way everyone got along; their urgency to get things done perfectly for their customers and their ability to crack jokes with and on each other the whole time. Customer service is something I’ve always been good at & have always had an interest in. Fast forward 10 yrs; here I am… a part of the same family I had admired for so many years.

Outside of work I enjoy anything related to animals… if I’m not rescuing/fostering; I’m visiting zoos; aquariums or just watching specials on Netflix. I enjoy bike riding; puzzles & playing Latin percussion instruments. Game nights are also a big deal w my friends, family & I.

I love being a part of the Pine Aire truck family. The support I receive from every person here is what gets me through each day. I look forward to being a part of the growth & expansion of this company while maintaining the core values it was founded on.

Yoni Rivera
Diesel Apprentice

From an early age, Yoni remembers watching his family build race cars. He credits his family for inspiring him to not only work on and gain knowledge about race cars, but to build his very own!

He’s grateful Pine Aire gave him the opportunity to work, learn, and gain hands-on experience with diesels.

“One of my professional goals is to get my ASE certifications. I want to keep learning and gaining experience over time,” Yoni says. “I have a girlfriend of 3 years — my high school sweetheart, Michelle. She’s influenced me, because she pushes me to follow my dreams and supports them. She’s my #1 fan.”

Outside of Pine Aire, Yoni can be found going on trips to the race track, working on his race car, and watching movies with loved ones.

Edgar Pereira
Diesel Apprentice

“My dad is a really hard-working man,” Edgar told us. “I’ve always been inspired by my family. They worked with trucks, and I knew that I wanted to be like them. I wanted to be a truck driver and a diesel mechanic.”

Fast forward to adulthood. After 3 years of gaining valuable experience with roll-off and waste collection trucks as a CDL driver, Edgar is making his childhood dream come true.

He now works as a diesel truck technician with Pine Aire Truck Service.

“I have a wife and son who I love,” Edgar says. “And I want to give them everything I can. I would go above and beyond for them so they can have a good life.”

Edgar hopes to become an expert in his field, develop his skills, and continue to take advantage of as many professional development opportunities that come his way. He indicated that he’s excited about advancing his career with us at Pine Aire Truck Services (and we couldn’t be happier!).

Outside of Pine Aire, Edgar loves spending time with family, going to the park to play soccer, exploring local biking trails, and lending a hand to his friendly neighbors.

Jorge Zelaya
Diesel Apprentice

Curiosity: it’s what drives Jorge Zelaya. It’s what he believes is necessary for becoming a better professional.

“Life has been such a great journey so far, but I still always ask myself: what’s the next step? What else is out there that I can learn?”

Jorge’s passion and desire for learning is what has fueled him to work on trucks for the last five years of his life. Having the opportunity to learn is what inspired Jorge to work with us at Pine Aire (we’re thrilled he’s on board!).

In his free time, Jorge enjoys reading books and working out.
